Empow(Her)Ment
The Empow(HER)ment Showcase you know and love has gone ROGUE! Creator and Producer Chantel Marostica is handing over the reigns of Winnipeg's premiere female identifying comedic showcase to the women of the Winnipeg comedy scene!!! Co-Producers Jessica Seburn and Kate Schellenberg have teamed up with Marostica to start a feminist collective to represent ALL female identifying performers, allies and friends of the Winnipeg Comedy Scene.

BAE NATION will be a quarterly showcase of Winnipeg's best and brightest talents.
Dana Smith
Dana Smith
Dana Smith is a performer who wears many hats; writer, sketch artist, stand up comic, and actor.

Dana co-created and performed in the 2013 fringe play "Comedy Plus Time Equals Tragedy" and co-created "Lady Skits" in the 2012 Fringe.
As a cast member in "The Week Thus Far", Dana is a proficient writer in news satire, sketch, and Stand up.
Melanie Dahling
Melanie Dahling
Melanie Dahling was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has performed in the Winnipeg Comedy Showcase, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and Empowherment. She has also won awards for her work as an Arts and Culture Reporter, and her short film Thyco is making the rounds on the festival scene. Recently, Dahling made the move to Toronto to expand her horizons and would subsequently like to borrow 40 dollars.
Ashley Burdett
Ashley Burdett
Ashley Burdett was born and raised in Winnipeg and she loves this wintery city. She has been performing improv for over 10 years, most recently with Blind Date and Bravo Rocket. She spent five glorious seasons with Soap Scum, Winnipeg’s longest running improvised soap opera. Ashley is new to the stand-up scene and she is loving every minute of it. Her style has been described as “thoughtful, honest, and wickedly silly.” She is absolutely thrilled to be in the Winnipeg Comedy Festival for the first time!
Jessica Seburn
Jessica Seburn
Jessica Seburn is one of the freshest faces on the burgeoning scene, Jessica has been doing stand up for less than a year, and is already being recognized by her generous parents as an amazing talent. She was a regular face at Winnipeg comedy shows, but when faced with personal tragedy she hit the stage to infuse humour into her uniquely dark perspective. She was a performer on the wildly popular Empow(Her)ment show held at The Park Theatre in November. She is currently in her parent’s basement, blogging and writing jokes; she has 4 cats and will probably die alone.
Angie St. Mars
Angie St. Mars
Angie St. Mars is a Winnipeg-based comedian and sketch comic who has been accused of “lighting it all on fire!” with her tongue-in-cheek feminist-fueled wit and pocket blow torch. She has been featured in the Winnipeg Comedy Showcase, Empow(HER)ment Showcase and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. She writes and performs with local sketch comedy troupe President Bear (Winnipeg Comedy Showcase, Winnipeg Fringe Festival) She is a huge fan of ODDBLOCK and could not be more excited to be a part of it.
